This picture is from Cecil B. DeMille's film 'The Greatest Show On Earth' This is a shot of the new 3 axle quarter & center pole wagon that was bulit in 1951. This wagon carried all of the poles on one wagon. This is another shot from the Cecil B. DeMille's film. This car's 3 axle configuration didn't last long because the 3rd axle kept blowing out under the weight Yet another shot from the movie. In the 1951 season, the top racks were removed and only the center poles and some rigging was carried on the wagon. The final shot from the film in this series The old #44 quarter pole wagon was brought back to carry the other poles,and in 1952 they removed the third axle and added a crumb box section to the side of the wagon.
