| 3.2.4 JUNIOR Junior Membership is open to any person aged eight (8) to sixteen (16) years who otherwise meets the criteria for Regular Membership. 3.2.5 AUXILIARY Auxiliary Membership is open to all persons related to any of the above membership categories and to other interested persons who, in either case, support the Purpose and Objectives of the Organization but who wish to participate in a less direct manner. 3.2.6 HONORARY This is a special category of bestowed membership consisting of persons appointed or selected by the Board of Directors and approved by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the Board. There shall be no more than ten (10) Honorary Members at any one time. When considering a person for this category, priority should be given to those who have been directly associated with the Circus in a managerial or performing capacity, or who are considered to have contributed significantly, in some way, to achieving the Purpose and Objectives of the Organization. Any person holding an active membership cannot be granted an Honorary membership. 3.3 APPROVAL In general, all applications for membership require the approval of a Regular or Student Member, certifying that the applicant has demonstrated an ability, or expressed an interest, with respect to the Purpose and Objectives of the Organization. In the absence of such approval, a Lot Manager or the Secretary-Treasurer may approve the application. In the case of application for Junior Membership the applicant must submit a letter of permission signed by a parent, guardian, or foster parent. 3.4 APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP An application for membership may be made directly to the Secretary-Treasurer or other officer of the Organization. The proper registration fees and dues must accompany the application, and proof of age is required for all persons applying for Student or Junior Membership. 3.5 EXPIRATION OF MEMBERSHIP 3.5.1 Any membership will be considered to have expired if it is not renewed, with the payment of dues, by January 2. 3.5.2 A Student Membership expires automatically on the date that the member reaches his/her twenty-third (23rd) birthday at which time he/she may upgrade the membership to Regular with the appropriate payment of dues or portion thereof. 3.5.3 A Junior Membership expires automatically on the date that the member reaches his/her sixteenth (16th) birthday at which time the member may upgrade to either Student or Regular Membership. |
