2.2.3 encourage its members to perpetuate their interest in the circus and the hobby of circus model building through correspondence and personal interchange for the exchange of ideas, plans, and specifications to enhance both knowledge and interest along with any attendant social benefits.
2.2.4 encourage and assist in the organization of Ring and Lot Gatherings and relationships between neighboring Lots and Rings.
ARTICLE 3.0 - MEMBERSHIP
3.1 GENERAL CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP
Membership shall be open to any person of good character who expresses or demonstrates an interest in the Circus as an institution or in circus model building as a hobby. Such membership shall be offered regardless of an individual's race, creed, color, national origin, sex, or quality of craftsmanship.
3.2 CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP
There shall be five (5) main and one (1) special categories of membership.
3.2.1 REGULAR
A Regular Membership is open to any person aged sixteen (16) years and older who meets the criteria established in 3.1 above and wishes to participate directly in the activities of model building, collecting, and/or displaying, or related activities with respect to circus memorabilia. Only those meeting the requirements of Regular Membership are eligible for election to national office, or have voting privileges.
3.2.2 FAMILY
A Family Membership is open to persons meeting the membership requirements in sections 3.2.1, or 3.2.4 living as a family in the same residence and who meets the criteria established in these sections and wishes to participate directly in the activities of model building, collecting, and/or displaying, or related activities with respect to circus memorabilia. Adult Family Members meeting the requirements of a Regular Membership shall have full membership rights including voting rights. Those meeting the requirements of a Junior Membership shall have the full membership rights of a Junior Member. Distribution of information may not be distributed in multiple copies to family memberships. The Board shall establish the membership fees.
NOTE: Family Membership is limited to two (2) adults meeting the requirements for Regular Membership in section 3.2.1 (and must not be brothers or/and sisters or must not be son or/and daughter). Children aged 8 to 16 meeting the requirements of section 3.2.4 may be part of the Family Membership.
3.2.3 STUDENT
Student Membership is open to any person aged sixteen (16) to twenty-two (22) years enrolled in a full-time course, or courses, of study at a recognized school, college, university, or other institute of learning and who otherwise qualifies for Regular Membership.
