the ballot form shall show each candidate's CMB number together with the brief resume. The candidate for each office receiving the most votes shall be declared the winner and Director/officer-elect for that office.

5.2.7     TIED VOTES
In the event that two candidates tie for first place in the second ballot on the first count, a recount will be conducted and must be witnessed by an independent body or person. Should a recount fail to resolve the tie, a lottery shall be held to draw the winning person. Each candidate shall be notified sufficiently in advance that he/she may be present or represented at the drawing. The lottery will be conducted by a member of the election committee with at least 2 other members present. All Board Members must be notified in advance of the tie and lottery.

5.2.8     NOTIFICATION OF RESULTS
It is the responsibility of the Election Committee to:

     a)   inform the President by telephone, with written confirmation to the entire Board of Directors, of the results of the election;

     b)   inform all final candidates, by mail, of the results of the election;

     c)   inform the membership of the complete results, including votes cast for each candidate, by publishing the results in the next-available issue of the Little Circus Wagon.

5.2.9     DELAYS IN MAIL
Given the international character of this Organization, it is recognized that events beyond the control of the Election Committee may conspire to cause mail and receipt of notices/deadlines to be impossible to meet in some or all jurisdictions. Such events may include mail and transport strikes, inclement weather, and various other natural phenomena commonly referred to as "Acts of God." Should such occur within any jurisdiction, it is the responsibility of members residing therein to communicate, if possible, with both the Election Committee and the President the difficulties faced before a deadline is reached, if possible, or no later than two weeks past that deadline.
